CPP20521 Certificate II in Fire Protection Inspection and Testing
Overview
This comprehensive course delivers the required knowledge and skills for persons wishing to become or who currently are fire protection service technicians.
These technicians are responsible for non-trade installations and maintenance of fire protection systems throughout Australia and may specialise in one or more areas of equipment or systems such as:
inspect and test fire protection equipment in the field such as fire extinguishers, fire blankets, hose reels and fire hydrants.
inspect, test and maintain pre-engineered fire suppression systems on vehicles and equipment.
maintain, test and refill extinguishers in a workshop environment.
inspect, test and maintain gaseous fire-suppression systems.
recover, fill and store scheduled gaseous fire-extinguishing agents.
inspect, test and maintain passive fire and smoke containment products and systems.
inspect and test fire detection and warning systems.
