This comprehensive course is designed to give persons in the workplace the necessary skills to safely and effectively deal with an emergency fire situation at the first responder level.

  • Responsibilities under the Work Health and Safety Acts and Regulations,fire-safety-logo
  • Building Fire Safety Regulations,
  • Action on the discovery of fire:
    • How fires start, and spread,
    • Classes of fire including extinguishing methods,
    • Combustion triangle,
    • Types of extinguishers,
    • Method of operation,
    • Extinguishing agents,
    • Use of fire hose reels,
    • Layflat hose deployment and use.

 Practical

  • Fire attack procedures,fire-ext-pic-1
  • Operation of extinguishers,
  • Operational techniques,
  • Equipment limitations,
  • Use of fire hose reels, and
  • Layflat hose deployment and use (Where Required).

The Course duration is 5 Hours.

Classes: Conducted at Horsley Park every Saturday at 9:00am (Bookings Essential) or at Your Location on request for groups.

All courses expose you to real emergency equipment with staff that are professional firefighters and experts in workplace firefighting.
